Shona here, Flow’s “Jill-of-all-trades“. As some of you know, I write the bulk of our social media content, including this blog. What you may not know is that I am celebrating my first anniversary of working with the Flow Team, which just so happens to coincide with our celebrating 8 years in business! I thought it would be fun to put together a gallery of 8 of my favourite Flow portfolio images and share what appeals to me the most, as a little snapshot into our staging and design world! Here goes!
I love the industrial look! I especially love staging an industrial-inspired space, bringing that stripped down, minimalist feel and warm, homey touches together. Brick veneer always seems to be tip-toeing around the edges of the interior design world, never quite becoming fully trendy but hanging around the fringes. And polished concrete has been a favourite in Vancouver condos and lofts for a long time now!
Twin rooms and kids’ rooms are by far the most fun for me. I’m a big kid at heart and I love the chance to put together a more quirky room whenever possible! Of course, quirky doesn’t always mean childish, and a twin room staged to give a more subtle impression of either a teen’s bedroom or a guest suite also presents an opportunity to throw in a little whimsy.
This is our “famous” green crib! I absolutely love staging nurseries, and you may not think such a powerful lime green is versatile, but there are several different colour combinations we can put together with this crib. Lots of our pillows, bedding, throw blankets and accessories work with this vibrant colour and make the green crib pop!
Last but not least! This is my favourite piece of art to stage with, the Coral Canvas. Orange is my absolute favourite colour, but it isn’t always suitable for a home staging. We reserve the Coral Canvas for funky condos and lofts, and these two listings were pretty much perfect for such a bright splash of colour. Like the green crib, it’s difficult to think of orange as being a versatile colour, but paired with the right neutrals it can make the entire look come together!
I hope you enjoyed this blog, and this little insight into the world of staging and design! Please connect with the Flow Team via social media, or leave comments here on the blog. I’d love to hear what you think of my 8 photos to celebrate 8 years of Flow Home Staging & Design!
