Vancouver designer Romney Shipway of SHIPWAY living design, recently completed renovations to Mayor Gregor Robertson’s home – and the Flow Team was honoured to work on staging and styling the space!
The project’s West Coast Modern theme called for clean, sleek, elegant pieces to work in harmony with the openness of the space. Romney chose to refinish the existing floors, as well as taking down drywall to expose the structural concrete underneath; these design decisions informed Flow’s styling plan of minimal, nature-inspired furniture and accessories.
The monochromatic colour scheme was paired with natural wood tones – it just made sense! We had the pleasure of incorporating pieces from Romney’s own furniture line, as well as pieces from local designer Kate Duncan. Everything fit in beautifully with Flow’s own inventory. It was a fantastic experience to work with Romney, to bring his vision for the space to reality.
Congratulations to Romney at shipway.ca on the success of the project, as well as his feature in Montecristo magazine! And many thanks to Bright Photo for the great photography.
